Step 1: How to Post a Task (Client Guide)
1. Click the "+" button to create a new task
- Log in to your RemoteGenies account.
- From your Dashboard, click the β+β (New Task) button in the upper area of the screen.

2. Name Your Task
- In the Task Title field, type a short, clear name.
- Example:
Create a 1-Page Social Media Calendar for December for a Podcast
- Example:
- Aim for something specific enough that a Genie can tell what the work is at a glance.

3. Set Expertise / Skillsets
Click the Expertise / Skillsets dropdown.
Select the skill areas that match your task (you can choose multiple).
- Example categories: Administrative Services, Visual Content Creation, Social Media, etc.
- Make sure the selected skillsets reflect the actual work you need.

4. Choose Dates (Timeline)
- Click the Date field.
- Use the calendar to select the start and end dates for the task.
- Click Confirm to save the date range.
- Choose realistic dates that give the Genie enough time to deliver.

5. Set Task Priority
Click the Priority (Select) dropdown.
Choose one of the options:
- Low
- Normal
- High
- Urgent
- Use Urgent only when you truly need a rush turnaround.

6. Add Estimated Time (Hours)
- In the Estimated time (hr) field, enter how many hours you expect the task to take.
- This helps Genies evaluate scope and bid more accurately.

7. Describe What You Need
- In the main Description editor, add all important details:
- Goal of the task
- Key deliverables (what the final output should be)
- Target audience or customer
- Platforms or tools to be used (e.g., Instagram, Canva, Google Docs)
Any required formats (PDF, Google Sheet, slide deck, etc.)
If relevant, include brand guidelines:
- Tone of voice
- Colors, fonts, or style
- Examples of posts, campaigns, or content you like
- The clearer and more detailed this section is, the faster Genies can send accurate bids.

8. Attach Files (Optional but Recommended)
- Scroll to the Upload files section under the description box.
Click the upload area or drag and drop files.
Attach:
- Brand kits or logos
- Sample content
- Briefs, spreadsheets, or reference docs
- Use this for anything that will help your Genie understand the task better.

9. Save as Draft or Open for Bids
- When youβre done filling everything out, choose one of the buttons at the bottom:
- Save as Draft β keep working on it later before Genies can see it.
- Open for Bids β publish the task so qualified Genies can submit their bids.
- Once you click Open for Bids, your task becomes visible to relevant Genies and youβll start receiving proposals.
