Step 4:Collaborate Together in GenieChat

GenieChat is where you work directly with your Genie and your dedicated project coordinator. This is where communication, updates, files, and progress all stay organized in one place.

1. Task Moves to “Waiting For Resource” After Genie Accepts

Once your Genie accepts the task, the status automatically changes to Waiting For Resource.

You can find it either:

  • On your Dashboard (scroll down), or
  • Inside your Task Board under Waiting For Resource.

2. Open the Task to Access GenieChat

From the Awaiting Resource section, click your task to open it.

Here, you’ll see:

  • Status
  • Assigned Genie
  • Dates
  • Priority
  • Description

And at the top: Chat, Comment, Activities, Files, Timer.


3. Use Subtasks if Needed

Click Add Subtask to break big work into smaller, actionable steps.


4. Use GenieChat to Communicate Directly

Click the Chat tab to message your Genie.

Your project coordinator is also inside this chat to keep everything aligned and on track.


5. Leave Notes in the Comments Tab

Use the Comment tab to leave:

  • Clarifications
  • Instructions
  • Additional details
  • Internal notes

This keeps non-chat updates clean and structured.


6. Track All Updates in Activities

The Activities tab shows a complete activity log for your task.

You’ll see every action taken:

  • Status changes
  • Subtasks created
  • Files uploaded
  • Messages


7. Upload and Access Documents in Files

The Files tab is where you and your Genie can upload and access all documents related to the task.


8. Monitor Time Using the Timer Tab

The Timer tab displays the hours your Genie logs while working on the task.

This is especially important for hourly WishCoin-based tasks.


9. Use the Inbox for a Central View of All Messages

On the left sidebar, click Inbox to see:

  • All task conversations
  • Direct messages with Genies
  • Quick access to active tasks


10. Send Messages and Attach Files Easily

Inside the chat window, you have options to add:

  • Images
  • Attachments
  • Links
  • Emojis

Use these tools to keep communication clear and complete.
