Cancellation Policy for Clients

We understand that sometimes plans change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both clients and Genies, while ensuring smooth and transparent task management.


1. Before a Genie Starts Work

If you cancel a task before the Genie begins work:

  • All unused credits for that task will be returned to your account.
  • To qualify, no billable hours should have been logged and no deliverables submitted.

2. After Work Has Begun

If the Genie has already started working:

  • You may still cancel, but credits will be deducted for the hours worked up to the time of cancellation.
  • Any unused reserved credits will be returned to your account.

If a Genie underperforms or fails to deliver, you can request cancellation with supporting evidence. Our Project Manager and Coordinator will conduct an investigation, present findings to both parties, and recommend a course of action. If a probable cause to discontinue the task is identified, the task will be transitioned to Cancelled status and credits will be refunded based on hours worked.


3. Cancellation Process

  1. Go to Your Tasks in your dashboard.
  2. Select the task you wish to cancel.
  3. Click Cancel Task and provide a reason.
  4. Your Project Coordinator will review the request, investigate if needed, and confirm the outcome.

4. Disputes Before or After Cancellation

If you and your Genie disagree about work completed before cancellation:

  • Our dispute resolution process will apply.
  • The Coordinator and Project Manager will gather information from both parties, assess the evidence, and determine the fairest resolution.
  • If disputes are raised within the 7-day review window after task completion, credits will be held until the dispute is resolved.

5. Impact on the Genie

Cancellations can affect a Genie’s schedule and income, so please cancel only when necessary. Repeated cancellations without valid cause may impact your future task postings.
