How to Invite a Genie for a 15-Minute Discovery Call on RemoteGenies

You can now book a 15-minute pre-hire discovery call with a Genie before assigning a task. This helps you align expectations, clarify scope, and ensure the right fit  before you move forward.


Here’s how to do it:

  1. Go to Genie Search
  • From your Client dashboard, click Genies (left sidebar).
  • Use filters/search to find the Genie you want.
  1. Open the Genie’s profile
  • Click See Profile on the Genie card.
  1. Click “Book a Call”
  • On the Genie profile (right-side action panel), click Book a Call.
  1. Pick a date + time
  • A scheduling window opens with:
    • a calendar (left)
    • available time slots (right)
  • Select your preferred date and time slot.
  • Click Confirm.
  1. Review the appointment details
  • You’ll see an Appointment screen (includes “Additional note”).
  • (Optional) Add a short note for the Genie.
  • Click Confirm.
  1. Confirm the final prompt
  • A confirmation pop-up appears (“Are you sure?”).
  • Click Confirm to send the invite.
  1. Invite sent
  • You’ll see “Interview invite sent” with the scheduled details (15-minute interview + date/time).
  1. View it in Calendar
  • Go to Calendar (left sidebar) to see the appointment listed.

📝 Before the call : Share Task Details

Before the call, prepare:

  • What you need done
  • Expected deadline
  • Estimated hours (if known)
  • Tools required (if any)
  • Desired outcome (“What does done look like?”)

The clearer your task, the more productive the call will be.

At the scheduled time:

  • Join via the platform

  • Keep the call focused (15 minutes goes fast!)

    Confirm next steps:

    • Post the task
    • Invite the Genie to bid
    • Hire directly (if aligned)

What Happens After the Call?

After your discovery call, you can:

  • ✅ Post a task and invite the Genie to apply
  • ✅ Accept their bid
  • ✅ Hire and move to “In Progress”
  • ✅ Continue chatting if you need clarification
