How to close your account
You have two options for closing your RemoteGenies account:
1. Deactivate Your Account (Temporary)
If you simply want to pause your activity on the platform but keep your profile and data in case you return later:
- Go to Settings in your dashboard.
- Click Deactivate Account.
- Confirm the action.
- Once deactivated, you will no longer appear in search results or be able to post/bid on tasks until you reactivate.
2. Request Permanent Closure
If you want your account and associated data completely removed:
- Go to Support and submit a closure request ticket.
- Our team will verify your identity and confirm the request.
- Once processed, your account and all stored data will be permanently deleted and cannot be restored.
Important:
- If you have active tasks, payments in progress, or disputes pending, these must be resolved before account closure.
- Permanent closure means losing access to your profile, reviews, and transaction history.
