How to close your account

You have two options for closing your RemoteGenies account:

1. Deactivate Your Account (Temporary)

If you simply want to pause your activity on the platform but keep your profile and data in case you return later:

  1. Go to Settings in your dashboard.
  2. Click Deactivate Account.
  3. Confirm the action.
  • Once deactivated, you will no longer appear in search results or be able to post/bid on tasks until you reactivate.

2. Request Permanent Closure

If you want your account and associated data completely removed:

  1. Go to Support and submit a closure request ticket.
  2. Our team will verify your identity and confirm the request.
  3. Once processed, your account and all stored data will be permanently deleted and cannot be restored.

Important:

  • If you have active tasks, payments in progress, or disputes pending, these must be resolved before account closure.
  • Permanent closure means losing access to your profile, reviews, and transaction history.
