How Genie selection and matching works

RemoteGenies uses a two-part process to connect you with the most suitable freelancers for your task — a mix of AI-assisted recommendations and your own choice.

1. Posting Your Task

When you create a task, you include:

  • A detailed description of the work.
  • Required skills and category.
  • Estimated hours you want the task to take.
  • Preferred experience level (Entry, Advanced, Top-Tier).

2. Genie Bidding

Once posted, your task is visible only to Genies who:

  • Have passed our pre-vetting process.
  • Match your skill, category, and rate preferences.
  • Are currently available to take on new work.

Qualified Genies can place a bid that includes:

  • Their hourly rate (based on their experience tier).
  • Estimated hours needed to finish the task.
  • A short proposal outlining their approach.

3. AI-Assisted Recommendations

Our system automatically highlights Genies with:

  • The closest skill match to your task description.
  • Proven track records in similar projects.
  • High client ratings and strong completion rates.

4. Shortlisting and Selection

  • You can review bids, Genie profiles, portfolios, and reviews.
  • If desired, you can invite specific Genies to apply directly.
  • You may shortlist up to 5 Genies to consider.
  • You may also invite Genies for a quick 15-minute interview

5. Final Hire

Once you choose a Genie, your Project Coordinator:

  • Confirms task details with both parties.
  • Sets up GenieChat so communication is tracked and secure.
  • Ensures the Genie has everything needed to begin work.
