How Genie selection and matching works
RemoteGenies uses a two-part process to connect you with the most suitable freelancers for your task — a mix of AI-assisted recommendations and your own choice.
1. Posting Your Task
When you create a task, you include:
- A detailed description of the work.
- Required skills and category.
- Estimated hours you want the task to take.
- Preferred experience level (Entry, Advanced, Top-Tier).
2. Genie Bidding
Once posted, your task is visible only to Genies who:
- Have passed our pre-vetting process.
- Match your skill, category, and rate preferences.
- Are currently available to take on new work.
Qualified Genies can place a bid that includes:
- Their hourly rate (based on their experience tier).
- Estimated hours needed to finish the task.
- A short proposal outlining their approach.
3. AI-Assisted Recommendations
Our system automatically highlights Genies with:
- The closest skill match to your task description.
- Proven track records in similar projects.
- High client ratings and strong completion rates.
4. Shortlisting and Selection
- You can review bids, Genie profiles, portfolios, and reviews.
- If desired, you can invite specific Genies to apply directly.
- You may shortlist up to 5 Genies to consider.
- You may also invite Genies for a quick 15-minute interview
5. Final Hire
Once you choose a Genie, your Project Coordinator:
- Confirms task details with both parties.
- Sets up GenieChat so communication is tracked and secure.
- Ensures the Genie has everything needed to begin work.
